The website tells the story of the Rycote mansion – now demolished, in a mini-documentary and includes various interactives allowing visitors to the site to explore the eighteenth-century view of Rycote Park, a palaeography tutorial and a guide to learn to read Tudor and Stuart handwriting based on Bodleian manuscripts as well as a competition to win a prize from Apple.
The site also has a timeline of significant moments in Rycote’s history with multimedia files, a family tree and a selection of audio transcripts and videos including letter readings. We built the site with the capacity to receive feedback from visitors.
