Hampshire's Big Theme

To commemorate the First World War 1914

Surface Impression was commissioned in 2013 to research and propose the most appropriate approach and platform for Hampshire’s Big Theme, including the creation of a brand for the project. Workshops with stakeholders (people drawn from museums, archives, arts, tourism, management in Hampshire Solent) helped to inform further market/audience and content research. Brand development was assisted by creative agency Pleece & Co. Surface Impression was later re-engaged to help develop user-interface designs and work with Hampshire Council’s IT Services Department to develop the Hampshire’s Big Theme – 1914 website.
